Southern Stingray with a Friend
The trouble with underwater photography, is the water. Even in very clear water like we had here in the Turks and Caicos, it is still far less transparent than even the smoggiest air. As a result, you need to get incredibly close to your subjects to have any hope of clarity! This stingray, which uniquely had a very persistent fish friend, was not bothered by my camera at all and let me get very close.
Nikon AW1 with Nikkor AW 11-27.5 F3.5-5.6 lens at 20mm, 1/800s, f/4.8, and ISO160.
