Dark Clouds over Barras Head
An offshoot of Trevose Head, Barras point is spectacular in the early autumn — early enough that the grass is still green but late enough that the weather has become sufficiently dramatic. The wind had grounded the seagulls roosting on the rocks and I chose this exposure to show the gusts on the surface of the water. The point appears to be a single continuous peninsula from this perspective, but it is actually 5 or 6 separate sea stacks which RNLI Padstow has chosen to shield their station from heavy seas.
