Lake levels were high and it was a surprise to find this ferry dock near Ashness Bridge submerged under a few inches of water. It was actively raining while taking this photo which leant the water a little extra texture. It was all exceedingly tranquil — until we had to quickly jump out of the way when the ferryboat arrived with a big wake!
